The tide will always turn.
The sun will always rise.
The seasons always change.
It’s never otherwise.
So too in our own lives,
There are cycles as we grow.
We make mistakes and learn.
At times it seems so slow.
So when we’re feeling low,
Our future filled with dread.
Know dark times always pass
To brighter times ahead.

the doctor's thoughts .........
At times life seems so cruel and hard. Everything seems to collapse around you and your whole world falls in, a relationship breakup, an illness, a death, a job loss. Yet these times of chaos are part of life. Just as after the bush fire, when the whole country looks like a moonscape with only gray ash and black cinders as far as the eye can see, suddenly green shoots appear and the country slowly regenerates and recovers with new lush growth. This too happens in our lives and new opportunities appear, things that would never have happened if the chaos hadn't occurred. So if you are in the thick of it amid chaos and confusion, hurt and hardship, keep reading this poem to yourself and be sure that wonderful things will slowly emerge and your life will blossom again.
